Daab Shikanji (Lime and coconut water lemonade) is a simple and easy drink to make. This light, refreshing and nutritious drink is made with just 3 ingredients, which are easily available. This shikanji (Coconut water Lemonade) is a very pleasing change from the normal coconut water or lemonade. This combination gels so well without anyone overpowering.
I prefer keeping it simple without adding too many things to it. I have tried adding salt and pepper too, it but it didn’t work for me as the taste of coconut water was suppressed. Please do not use ice as it will dilute the flavor; instead if you have time keep the whole coconut in the fridge for 4 hours.
This refreshing drink can be easily made in large quantity and is a great drink to be served for parties specially during summers. We had this drink for our house warming party and it was very well appreciated.

Ingredients For Daab Shikanji
2 tablespoon tender coconut chopped
500 ml tender coconut water (2 coconuts)
2 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoon sugar
Directions For Coconut water lemonade
- Keep the whole daab (tender coconut) in the fridge for 4 to 6 hours. Make the drink just before serving.
- Take out the soft creamy coconut and chop fine and set aside.
- In a pitcher, combine the coconut water, lemon juice and sugar together.
- Stir to mix well.
- Pour in the glasses and garnish with chopped coconut.
- Serve immediately.
