This Fresh Passion Fruit Juice is a refreshing drink that gives you a tropical feeling. This cooler is perfect for a hot summer day and is one of my favourite tropical flavours. There are different varieties of passion fruit, some less sour and sweeter than others. Thus, adjust the sugar content for the drink based on the passion fruit variety.
The name Passion fruit also comes from the bloom of the spectacular passion fruit flower. Native to southern Brazil, passion fruit contains a sweet floral flavour that is similar to guava. Though delicious to eat right out of the rind, fresh passion fruit juice is quite a treat and is definitely a mood enhancer.
It is an excellent source of iron, calcium and vitamins A and C. This fruit can be used in sweet or savoury sauces, in salad dressings, as a marinade, in cocktails, and more.
