Torai Channa dal (Ridge Gourd With Gram Dal) is a very simple and easy recipe that is ready in no time. It is made with minimum spices. This satvik recipe has no onion and garlic. I recommend making this in ghee, as it adds flavor to this simple dish. Serve turai chana dal immediately as it tastes the best when freshly cooked. The best combination is with ghee roti or paratha, that too garma garam.
Torai chana dal is a great meal for those days when you don’t want to spend much time in the kitchen without compromising on the nutrition as it serves the requirement of protein and vitamins.
