All-time favourite Strawberry Milk Shake is loved by all, young and not so young. This milk shake is packed with all the goodness of this bright colored juicy fruit. Strawberries are an excellent source of antioxidant-promoting vitamin C, manganese and loaded with dietary fiber.
To keep the goodness of strawberry intact I have made my own sauce. I always have this sauce stocked in my freezer and it comes out handy when required. You can use this sauce on Vanilla Ice cream or for making Strawberry Cheese Cake Ice Cream.
Yield: 1serving
Prep time: 2 minutes
Total time: 5 minutes
Ingredients for Strawberry Milk Shake
230 ml cold Milk
2 tablespoon strawberry sauce
For Strawberry sauce
2 cups strawberries
½ to ¾ cup sugar
Directions for Strawberry Milk Shake
For the Strawberry Sauce
- Rinse and dry the strawberries. Cut off the leafy tops and slice in half. Place the sliced strawberries in a medium pot and set over medium heat. Sprinkle with the sugar and give it a mix. Allow it to cook until the berries begin to soften and release their juices, about 5 to 10 minutes. Mash with a potato masher until about half of the strawberries are completely smashed but some medium-sized chunks remain.
- Cool the sauce and store in the freezer in air tight container.
- Use as required.
For the Milk Shake
- Blend milk and frozen strawberry sauce in a blender.
- Pour in a glass and garnish with fresh strawberries.
- Serve

Easy and delicious!
Hello Sangita, I tried this recipe. It came out very well. It so simple to make. The strawberry sauce didn’t make it to the freezer. The children liked it so much, it got used with everything.
Thank you
