Suji Ka Chilla (Semolina Pancake) is the most handy breakfast or snack one can think off. This instant dish is an easy pancake or dosa recipe. Suji Ka Chilla (Semolina Pancake) is quite healthy and packed with nutrition.
Sooji Ka Cheela if prepared with simple ingredients found easily in every pantry. Suji being main ingredient provides a lot of fibre to the dish. Other ingredients used are yogurt, vegetables and spices. I have used Onions and tomatoes in this recipe as they provide a good crunch bite to the otherwise soft pancakes. You can use other vegetables also like cabbage, carrot, spinach etc.

Ingredients for Suji ka Chilla
1 cup semolina (suji, rava)
1 cup yoghurt
1 tablespoon ginger green chilli paste
1/4 cup chopped tomato
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped coriander
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
Salt to taste

Directions for Instant Rava Chilla
- Mix suji and yoghurt in a bowl and mix to make a thick batter. Set aside for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Now add all the ingredients except oil. Mix well.
- Check the batter and add water as required so that you can easily spread the batter to make chilla or pancake or like thick dosa. (Medium consistency)
- Heat a non-stick skillet, pour 2 serving spoon of the batter in the centre and spread it evenly with the back of the spoon to make as thick or thin cheela as per your taste.
- Drizzle 1/4 teaspoon of oil all around the edges and roast till golden brown.
- Flip to the other side and drizzle 1/4 teaspoon of oil and roast till golden brown.
- Serve with green chutney and tomato ketchup.
