Anar ka Raita (Pomegranate Raita) is a delicious and easy yoghurt based dish. This is a delicious combination of yoghurt, pomegranate and mint. It is a perfect accompaniment to any Indian meal. Quick and super easy to make, this raita can take your meal to the next level.
For this raita along with pomegranate seeds, I have used pomegranate juice also. This adds flavour to the yoghurt and gives a beautiful tinge of pink colour to the dish. The freshness of mint takes the raita a notch higher. I have not added any spices to this raita as it tastes the best as it is.
Anar ka Raita (Pomegranate Raita) is a great side dish to be served alongside any curries, paratha, biryani or any rice dish, or even as a dip for fritters. You can literally serve it with anything or on its own.
Just a few things to keep in mind for making the best raita- Firstly use thick yoghurt as we will be adding fresh pomegranate juice. Use fresh dahi which should not be sour. Whisk it well to get a smooth texture. Avoid unnecessary use of spices to retain fresh flavours.
