This vegetarian sizzling platter has an array of vegetables that are glazed and mildly flavored. It is very important to saute the vegetables on high heat to get the smoky flavor. Always use fresh and tender vegetables to get that perfect bite and lovely colors.
For making a sizzler a cast iron pan with a wooden base is a must. A new sizzler plate has to be cleaned and seasoned well before use. To do so heat the pan on high heat and wipe it several times with a greased kitchen towel. Your sizzler plate should be really hot before you start assembling the dish.

Ingredients for Continental Vegetable Steak Sizzler
½ recipe garlic butter sauce
½ recipe potato wedges
½ recipe of paneer (cottage cheese) and vegetable cutlet
A few cabbage leaves
1 teaspoon butter
1 cheese slice optional
1 sizzler plate
For the vegetables
4 broccoli florets
1 carrot cut into thin fingers
8 tender beans ends trimmed
2 tablespoon red capsicum
2 tablespoon yellow capsicum
2 teaspoon olive oil
1 teaspoon dry mix herbs
Salt to taste

Here are our step-by-step pictures and procedures on making of this sizzler.
- In a pan blanch carrots, beans, broccoli and set aside.
- Heat a pan; add ½ teaspoon oil and saute both the capsicums on high heat by adding a pinch of salt and dry herbs.
- Similarly saute all the vegetables one by one, taking care to keep the vegetables crunchy. Sprinkle mix herbs on the sauteed vegetables
- Make the garlic butter sauce according to the recipe. Set aside.
- Make the Paneer (Cottage Cheese) and Vegetable cutlet mixture as per the recipe. You can make a big patty or 2 to 3 small patties. Fry them or air fry them. Set aside.
- Air fry or deep fry the potato wedges and set aside.
How to Proceed
- Heat the sizzler plate on high heat till smoky.
- Arrange a few leaves of cabbage on the platter.
- Now arrange the patties, vegetables, and wedges.
- Sprinkle cheese on top of patties & pour the sauce on top.
- Divide the butter into two and place on 2 sides of the sizzle. This will help to give out smoke and the sizzling sound.
- Keep the plate on the wooden platter and serve immediately sizzling hot.
