Chatpata Chivda (Crispy beaten rice flakes) is an excellent starter. Made with medium poha (aka beaten / flattened rice), this is quick and easy recipe that requires just a few ingredients commonly found in our pantries. Just go ahead and try this simple snack as there is no way you can go wrong with. This is different from the chivda mixtures we usually make with many ingredients.
This poha Chuda recipe is a great party starter. It is best served with drinks when you are relaxing with friends.

Ingredients For Chatpata Chivda
1 cup medium poha (beaten rice)
3 tablespoon peanuts
1/3 cup onions chopped fine
1 green chilli chopped fine
1 tablespoon coriander chopped fine
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon chat masala
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Directions For Chatpata Chivda
- Heat oil; fry the peanuts on low heat till crisp. Drain and keep on absorbent paper.
- Increase the heat to high so that oil is hot, fry the poha in batches. Drain and spread on the peanuts.
- Transfer the fried poha in a mixing bowl; add rest of the ingredients and mix.
- Serve immediately.
