Peri-Peri Cottage Cheese Sandwich is a yummy sandwich with paneer filling, flavoured with peri peri seasoning. Simple and easy to make this toasted or grilled sandwich is a wholesome breakfast recipe which can be made really fast. It is also a good tea time snacks .
Whether you call it piri-piri or peri-peri seasoning, the end result is all the same – it’s a delicious combo of pungent and savory spices with a healthy kick of heat. I used off the shelf peri-peri seasoning available in the market. One can also make piri-piri seasoning by using ingredients such as paprika, dried oregano, cardamom, ginger powder, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and cayenne pepper.

Ingredients For Peri-Peri Cottage Cheese Sandwich
8 to 10 slices of bread
200 grams cottage cheese mashed
1 onion chopped fine
½ green capsicum chopped fine
½ red capsicum chopped fine
1 tablespoon celery chopped fine (optional)
1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
1 teaspoon peri peri powder
Salt to taste
3 tablespoon butter
Directions For Peri-Peri Cottage Cheese Sandwich
- In a bowl mix all the ingredients except bread and butter. Check the seasoning and adjust accordingly.
- Apply butter on one side of each bread.
- Place the filling on a slice and close the sandwich with another slice.
- Apply butter and toast the sandwich in a sandwich toaster or grill it to golden brown.
- Serve with tomato ketchup.
Note: If you don’t have peri peri masala then mix a pinch of chilli flakes, oregano, cinnamon powder, garlic powder and salt together and add to the filling.
